GSL-SE oilpan and GSL-SE front cover, and your mounted.

To run the S4 ECU and dual stage EFI,youll have to install the big passenger side EFI harness and then fab up the smaller left side harness to power the CAS,coils and fuel pump. The FC injection is more advanced and quicker than the GSL-SE injection. Its a nice system, but not a direct swap.I have done both the S4, and then S5 engine swaps on my car (both turbo) and I can say from experience that the newer you get,the better the EFI control systems get.
could be done the other way around?, to get my GSL-SE engine in my S4, to elaberate would my GSL-SE engine fit in my S4 if i do the opposite by swapping the S4 oil pan and S4 front cover.

thanks

Just wondering why?

Youd be loosing some horsepower.

If youre engine is blown theres n/a engines on here left and right for cheap.

why? because my S4 has blown rear rotors, and because i have a SE engine at my disposal.

I think I remember seeing somewhere the FB engines mounted on the front covor. If thats the case, then you would have to custom fab up a mounting adapter, since the FC engines mount in the center of the engine.

you need a passanger side engine mount, and you use the s4 stock driver's side mount. you can either use the old distributor and coil harness, or you can swap it out for the s4 pickup. you need to use the s4 intake system. you have to modify the lower intake manifold slightly to get it to seal against the gsl-se engine. I just built a custom engine mount today cause I am swapping a gsl-se 13b into my 88. pm me if you want a pic of the bracket or if you can't build one, I can build you one if you're interested.
