it works very well, especially with good adjustable shocks.
The good thing is that you can change the springs to suite your needs.
And you can contact Ground Control to do that for you.

I have the ground control coilovers and I love them. I have mine matched with some Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable shocks and other suspension stuff.
You can get them for the same price straight from ground control, and if you call to order them you can get custom spring rates if you want to change them.
I personally run 6" front with 350 spring rate and 8" rear with 275 spring rate, seems to work well with the tokicos on the stiffest setting.

Got them on my TII. Handling wise they're great.
Make sure the rest of your suspension is good before putting these on. That includes replacing swaybar end links, subframe end lines, sublink bushings, toe-eliminator bushing (or replace the DTSS hub), and any other worn parts.
Also you'll need to tune the suspension properly. That includes corner weighing your car and adjusting height to shift weight evenly, allignment (if you drop the car too much, you'll need to buy some Racing Beat parts to get the front & rear to allign properly).
The GC coilover springs I got are a bit "bouncy" on the freeway for my taste. I might get a different set from GC to compensate eventually.

the car is perfect for my driving style i have some understeer.. because its an rx-7 thats what im working on next. i have delrin rear bushings and mazdacomp diff mounts. i dont know how my understeer is right now i just got the car on the road lastnight. i have to learn to drive her again without dtss. the bumps are stiff but smooth. i still have my fillings in my teeth. the ride height is just right the coil overs are fully lowered but i can go over any speed bumb and not scrape.

only prob i had with them was the rear camber went way neg. but i dropped mine as far as she goes....still goes over speed bumps with ease
feels like i was sittin on the ground tho....so so low....but i like.

tiens have S-tech springs, which u can use other brand struts for it... but i think if u were going for either Tiens or GC kit, then u should get the Tien Coil-Overs Type-Flex, Type-HA those stuff...
but i'd say this... if u get Coil-overs u should get damper and ride-height adjustable Coil-overs...
Same thing, if u get GC kit, u should also pair it with Adj struts...
Both has its goods... GC kit u can get the Ground Control struts (expensive option) and the Camber/Caster plates that Ground Control sells... (not cheap either)
And if u choose Tien, look into the EDFC damper control, (now they have one that is a ride-height controller too... but more $$$ as always)
either way, both are good choices..

im thinking about getting a set of GC coilovers.. but i have a few questions..
how stiff of a spring rate can agx's handle?
how low can you guys lower your car? ive heard of people still having a big gap in the front when the coilovers are maxed out with a 6" spring. anybody have pics?
thanks and sorry for the thread jack,

That's a pretty good set up.
I'd go with 7" Rear springs. Rates are good.

I think a 10" spring is better, cause the adjustment collar ends up being in the middle of the perch instead of all the way at the top with the 8" spring.
How the hell do you get a 7" spring to work back there?
