Question Greddy type S bov problems

I have this Greddy type S blow off valve. I put it on my car to see how it sounded. I could never get it to make any noise at all. I took it off and realized that the adjustment screw was not working right. The thread it sits in was striped. To fix this, i tried putting in a 10mm thread bolt as an adjustment screw, instead of the alan (spellcheck) wrench adjustment screw it originally comes with. This didn't fix the problem. It sounds like it's leaking air somewhere. I took the thing completely apart and cleaned everything. Would the best thing to do is re-thread the adjustment screw threads or what? Is this a common problem on the Type S bov?

If its a new BOV, Id try returning it. I installed a Greddy Type-S BOV on my girlfriends talon TSI AWD, and I didnt have any problems. I adjusted it so that it just started to leak at idle, and then tightened it about 1/4 turn.

I didn't get this new, i got it used, knowing it didn't work right. I was just going to rebuild/fix it i guess and sell it when it works good.

If you remove the screw totally, you should be hearing it more often.

What fitting did you plumb in the vacuum line to?
I hope it's the top one.

Where does this vacuum line go?
It has to be connected with a fitting that is AFTER the throttle body.
If you're using a fitting before the TB, it will not work correctly.
