Looking to buy one ... the older one with the dials. I heard that was the best one to get. But I am a little confused on the models. As far as I can tell..

ProfecA - No idea what that is...don't want it

ProfecB - Has *****

ProfecB Spec S - Still has *****? What is that one?

ProfecB Spec II - The new one with the digital display.

So, am I right?

i have the Profec B Spec 2 - it has one **** to make adjustments and two buttons, a mode and a select button. you also push the dial for the set button.

as far as i know - the spec "X" just has to do with the firmware in the unit. how it is programmed, they make different adjustments over time to make it work better so it's like an update for you computer's OS.

that's the difference i think,
