Greddy Egt
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CORRECT READING OR NUMBER A GREDDY EGT SHOULD BE AT, AS FAR AS LEANING OUT. I HAVE HEARD OF PEOPLE WITH TUNED CARS RUNNING BETWEEN 12-14. I KNOW ON A PISTON ENGINE ANYTHING OVER 9 IS DIFINATELY LEAN, BUT I WANT TO KNOW THE LIMIT FOR ROTARIES????????
i don't think air fuel ratio change for rotaries
an air fuel mixture is an air fuel mixture
physic laws still exist on rotaries =)
just make sure you never go lean and stay in the stoich range
close to 14

During normal driving, my GReddy EGT will read 550-625°C.
During a drag race, it doesn't go much above that, maybe 675-725°C.
During an extended period of high rpm driving, it'll go to about 825°C.
Your turbo setup and your amount of boost will greatly affect your EGT reading.
825°C is about the most you'd like to see.

yeah I hit 750 in a full boost run.. and hit 800 on extended runs at which point I let off. it really depends on your setup and where the sender is mounted. just moving the thing an 1" could change it 50-100 degrees.
