I went to the junkyard today to get an o2 sensor, and decided to pick up a throttle body while i was at it so I could do the TB mod w/o screwing mine up. so I picked a 7 and went at it, thing was a bitch to get off, but when I got it off, i realized that the TB mod had already been done!! SCORE!!! AND, I got a like new o2 sensor from the same car... some days you get lucky!

Nice find. Around here its lucky to even find an Rx-7 in a junkyard let alone an engine in one.

 

around me there is one junkyard that has TONS on imports. They have 5 or 6 N/A's. in june they had a running s5 tII there for awile. they sold it for like 2000 $. someone got a good deal

hell hardly any 7's on the road even.

 

Hell yeah man, i once found a RB single out header form the junk yard, i pulled it with and engine and got that **** fo' free, hell yeah. I love the J yard

 

I'll have to go check and see if the car has exhaust mods, never even thought to look!!! as soon as it dries up around here i'll go again, thta way i won't be crawling in the mud

 

I understand that the O2 Sensor is to do with exhaust and emitions etc...
But what exactly does it do? does it just monitor your exaust?

There is a really nice GSl-SE around here tho, a few other really bad condition 1st gens, A Very Very nice S5 N/A, a really bad condition S4 GXL, and a Ok S4 GXL, and a Scweet Red FD R1, all of these i have only seen once tho.

 

we have an import junk yard here and there are about 5 TII's that all have engines. about 10 NA S4's and even a GTUs (its the ONLY S5 on the yard) there are about 25 SA's and FB's. no FDs though. all the cars have engines too... kinda weird that no one has raped them

 

why wouldn't you just buy a brand new O2 for $20???

 

was going to, but this one seems to be brand new, it didn't cost me anything so I figured what the hell right?

 

Do any of the T2's engines run, and have complete drivetrian ?

 

I went to do the TB mod and to my surprise i found out that it had already been done. Sweet. So i polished it and ground out some metal in there.

 

they all have a full drivetrain. now that i think of it there are only like 3 turboII's all the rest are GXL's and ****. but the 3 turboII's have full drivetrain (if i remember) and full engine. i dont think any of them run, but they all have turbos as well and a couple have intercoolers. most of the engine bay is there (all of the important stuff atleast).

 

What about the taillights?

 

there are no S5 taillights. all of the S4's have them though
