The Great FC Mystery EXH SYSTEM dummy light

Okay I have been in the game now for over a year.. I read here almost every day and I have never seen someone post in the 2nd gen forum that their OVERHEAT EXH SYSTEM light came on. A quick search found nothing as well so here it is! The question we have all been afraid to ask!

What exactly is this? The Owners Manuel says it comes on it the Cataltic converter gets too hot? What sensors are under the car to measure the temp of the cats? Define hot? When I had the cats on there OMG they would stay hot for hours after the car was turned off :-)

This just seems weird to me..

There's a little round sensor under the passanger on the bottom of the car, that triggers that light.

the sensor is under the seat/passenger side. it's there in case your cat is clogged and you run it too hard, or overboost on it. i've seen it come on some cars. Looked under and the cat was glowing red to the point to you could almost see through it.
