graduated from 1st gen to 2nd
my wife bought this 87 se for me yesterday (early xmas) and ill pick it up next week. what do you all think? worth $2500.00. the only downside is auto trans. no dents. 109,000 miles. have my first gen sold next week for $1000.00 and bought it for $300.00 last year. i know its n/a with the vin# starting with jm1fc331xxxx but dont really know the rest of the history on this specific model. any info would be appreciated. thanks. you all might think im nuts but it was a choice between this car or a new jeep wrangler @ xmas w/payments

That is the BEST condition FC3S I have ever seen... look at that beautifull engine bay.. the paint is perfect and most of all, the interior is immaculate. You got a perfect second gen, except for the auto tranny of course.. heh..
First thing I'd do is switch it out for a manual, start looking at prices and see if you can fit the time in to do it.
Does it run as good as it looks?

yep, runs excellent. great response @ shift points tires have 60% tread left. seems like there is more room in the 2nd gen than the first. stock radio is the first to go though. then ill start looking for a 5 speed. question, (and ill do a search later on on this) i know the tranny swap wont be a straight swap i.e (driveshaft) but what else is involved. need to start on my research for info and history on this year model.(good points and bad) thanks for your response
