Got the tranny out, I fear I may have found something bad! HELP!

Got the tranny out, I fear I may have found something bad! HELP!
We got the tranny out of the car, only took us 6 hours...he he he...
Anyway, to get everything done I had to take out the down-pipe and oh no! After examening the compressor housing I see its rather tan colored(very light, almost don't even know its tan). I'm thinking this ISN'T GOOD...I really really hope I'm not running lean, but after looking at this I'm very afraid I am. Is this a symptom of running lean? Thats what I've heard, but I don't know. Please help!
