with those mods, you're gonna lose. For some quick hp, add a nitrous kit or something.

lol.....2 weeks isnt enough time for what you'd need...my buddy had an 1.8 ls vtec with a crower stroker kit in a crx.....that thing was real quick....beat a few mustangs and ****....i think you need a prayer that his car blows up before then....but if not, best of luck

I don't know how they react to a stroker kit but other than that you should have him in the quarter. On the highway i'm sure he'd walk on ya but off the line you'll take him if youcan drive at all. Strip some interior and DON'T have a passanger. Weight makes such a big difference expecially with our relativly low powered cars. If you can drive/launch your car you'll get him. Get a good launch chances are he won't. Front wheel drive sucks. I've taken GSR's with all the same mods other than the stroker kit. . and i'd say i definetly walked them.

Get a turboII and dont sweat this sh*t anymore. Thats what I did and then I added a few mods and I am still adding. Maybe if you had some nice porting done this guy would not have a chance either. However your taking a basically stock 80s car vs a decently modded late 90s car. You still may take him as my 86 SE could hook up somthing fierce. There was some races I won just on the hook up alone. I had a lot of close calls where I just barely won and they were catching up the whole way through the 1/4. I also had a lot of *** whoopings and broke down and bought a TII. Well Best of luck man.

nitrous isn't a bad idea but unless you have something to tune it with (standalone of some sort) i wouldn't run 120 i probably wouldn't run anything more than 50 to be on the safe side. That may be pushing it but i have limited experience with nitrous. Like i said before, remove as much wait as possible! you said you have full exhaust, header and catback but what about the intake side? and what model is your car? It may be a close one. How much power does the stroker kit add?

I think i could probably take one with a stroker kit. I am now streetported. . haha maybe that's the equivelent on the rotary. . lol
Does this guy have any top end work done? does he have the cam setup to utalize his new found displacment? It could be a pretty bad *** car. Tegs when done up right are nothing to be looking down upon. But yea, launch is key. and if you lose just burn a doughnut and tell him to get a rear wheel drive car. well do that if you win too. . lol

never mind. i dunno why u would want to increase stroke on the gsr engine which is already undersquare i believe. also the rodlength/stroke ratio on that engine is poor and addind more stroke is only gonna make it worse. i dont think u should be intimidated by his so called stroker kit even if he duz have one. i say u just strip your car down a bit (take out passenger seat, remove spare tire, etc) and try to borrow a set of rear tires that will stick better than shitty all season's. also, lower the rear tire pressure to 20-25 psi and practice launching for the next 2 weeks till u get it perfect. and do an oil change and clean your air filter for some cheap power.

but if u are only pulling ahead by one carlength against a stock gsr than u r most likely gonna lose against one with a header, intake and exhaust.

the FC can definetly get out of the hole fast! if you can't then you can't launch. . period. I didn't know your car was a vert. vert=heavy! Get as much weight out of the thing as possible that's the only way you will hang with this guy. I can't imagine a gsr having alot of torque. Theyrely on revs for there power kinda like us. but yea just remove all the weight you can

You're gonna lose. Stock GS-R is almost a full second faster than an N/A rx-7 (stock) in the 1/4 mile. Add to the fact what he's done and what you've done (not a whole lot compared to him) and he'll smoke you even worse. Just give up now otherwise you'll embarass yourself.
