Depressurize fuel system

Hey, I was looking at the FSM and it says to remove the fuel pump connector to cut fuel. Does anyone have a picture of the connector? Thanks.

There are several. The easiest to reach is a relay underneath the drivers side dash. It's a square relay, closest to the center of the dash on the drivers side. Just unplug it.

If you want to disconnect the wiring at the fuel pump, you will find the connector at the drivers rear shock tower, under the carpet, facing the rear of the car. Pain in the butt to get to, though.

what you do is... unhook the plug from the fuel pump, then crank the engine let it start and die... then your fuel rails/lines are depressurised.

I don't have a picture but it should just be a plug on the wire running to the fuel pump under the carpet in the back of the car (I think the plug is on the drivers side strut tower or right by it IIRC).

Edit: LOL, I guess I type too slow

I once made the mistake of taking a pair of cutters and cutting a pressurized fuel line. It was on an engine that I had been working on and I needed to reroute the line and the clamp was stuck. Well...I had had other lines off so the system was depressurized...but someone had primed the pump and tried to turn the motor over since then and I didn't realize the lines were pressurized. Man was that a surprise...spray of atomized fuel all over the bloody place. I'm sure glad nothing was hot and the battery was off the car. That would have been one nice fireball. And that ends random storytime.
