Please Help! ! ! !

my 87 FCs3 just started messing up and wont go past 2k rpms no idiot lights are on and its not miss firing, please i need help im stuck in between citys its also makin almost no exhaust noise

Suggestion: Edit your post and change the title to: Won't rev past 2K. You may get a response from that quicker.

On your problem, it could be any one of many different things. What have you done to the car recently? Retrace your steps to make sure everything is connected properly. Almost impossible to diagnose from afar but check the obvious like disconnected plug wire or other connector.

A stuck TPS plunger could be the problem. Try disconnecting the TPS. This is valid only if the engine is idling fine/ok, but when you step on the pedal to go somewhere it won't rev.
