I got mine from Phase2 a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if they still deal with RX-7 stuff or not. I THINK rx7store has them.

functional????? these are very functional..... they are just running lights instead of ftp's...... here in socal, the whole "flash to pass" idea is a waste of time..... nobody moves out of your way, so to me, the ftps arent very funtional..... but to have an extra set of running lights never hurt anybody........ thats why they didnt use "ftp's" on j-spec cars.....

trust me, the pics dont do them justice, these things look great in person...... just installed them today, so ill post pics in a few days.....

woln't those be illegal in the states though? (or just mine?)

I mean, with the ftp's, the headlights, the fogs, and the parking lights that is 8 filiments being lit... i belive, at least, in SC, the max is 6... make sure to take pics with them all on... i'm wonderin if it will just be too much light to look right...

i dont think there is a law that limits the amout of lights on in california...... but i unhooked the side markers (the lights just plugged right into the the side marker wiring harness) but ill deffinently take some good pics at night

as much as it bother me that you dropped almost $200 on some new lenses (ok theyre lights)... there is potential for function and positive financial outcome.

you will recveive a discount on insurance thru some companies if you have daytime running lights... you might be required to have a shop sign a receipt that your car now has functional daytime running lamps and you would need to wire them up as such, but you might save $20-50 a year, its something to think about. studies have shown its more likely that you will avoid an unecessary accident with daytime running lights, this is why new cars from most mfg'ers have them.

haha

yea, that 5w bulb is NOT going to go anywhere being a daytime running light...

daytime running lights are your HEADLIGHTS, not some sort of clear parking light you put on there...

i'm suprised more people don't do this, i bought a realay and some wire and hooked up mine like that very soon after i got my 7 probably less than a week. i tried both high an low beam. with both high and low beam on with the headlights down there is enough light to consider it a daytime running light, that what i use on highways that require headlight and have had no problems with cops yet. they are also cool for night driving in a well light city since i think they look better than the popups

Not with these you won't. They are simply 5W marker lights, and are no brighter than the 5W marker lights your car already has. They are barely visable during the day. I know, my car came with them.

Standing next to them sure, but what about for approaching vehicles? Since that's really what we're talking about here...

lol...come on guys........ i was more than happy to dish out $200 for the lights.... im sure most people think im crazy, and thats ok..... but ive wanted these lights for a long time! i like to be different, even if is a very subtle difference, its enough for me! parked next to my friends 7, they give a totally different appearence to the front end! (this was at night, and the lights were on)
