Unhappy Got my motor in but wont run

I finally finished my swap but its not complete since its not running... I have a S5 N/A and sawped an identical motor in. I checked an it seems that all my hoses are connected as well as my harness plugs. I've checked the spark plugs and im getting spark and i have them in and wired correctly. Also I am getting fuel but I'm thinking that may be part of the problem. I've plug the fuse a few times to make sure its not flooding. Now Im getting so close i can get it to start up, not without some work like pumping gas. but once it starts it runs real rough and will die if I dont give it gas. the stargest thing was when we pulled the fuel in out and started up to make sure it was geting fuel it started right up and didnt die but i truned it off b/c fuel was coming out. I'm thinking it was just buring the fuel up that was already in there but why would it start easly w/o that connected we connected and was tought to start it agian. and when we removed it agian it started up right away ??? any suggestions on where to go from here would be greatly apreaciated

maybe an injector sticking open? Did you use your old ones or the ones on the engine you put in?

I used the ones from the motor i bought, but wouldnt that not let it start at all if the injectors were bad, cuz mine starts w/o some babying and then shuts off.. idk

the crazyiest thing is it starts and runs the smoothest when that fuel line was disconnected, so it maybe something with that

it just sounds like it's flooding really badly, hook up a fuel pump kill switch, have the fuel turned off to start it and once it starts flip the pump back on. I thought lots of rebuilds with used housings have flooding probs especially at the start.

Yes it starts and runs till the very small amount of fuel is gone, but when hooked up there is too much fuel for it to start because the injector is stuck open.

yes that sounds like a definite possiblity, I think thats where I should start checking, now on that primary delivery pipe the harness plugs can move back and forth are they opening and closeing b/c i think i streached the harness pretty tight and they may not b able to move....
either way where should I go from here...

I tried swapping the primary fuel rail over and check on the hoses everything looks fine but it still wont start. right now exactly what it does it this. I turn they ignition and it almost starts up right away, it turns over and is running but for only about half a second, after that I hold the ignition and it dies and then gets close again. If I pump the gas it sometimes gets back to the point where it barely starts and then dies again, oh and some times it backfires a little I have a cat-back exhaust on it... I pull the fuel fuse sometimes to help prevent flooding but I think it isn't flooded right now b/c it gets so close to starting well I'm heading back out there and will check back for much appreciated tips

Aren't the primaries on the block, not the rail?

It sounds like you didn't stab the CAs properly. Did you re-stab the CAS when you put the new motor in?

Also make 100% sure that the MASS air flow sensor is hooked up....

yea i didnt do that I asked a bunch of people if I needed to do any timing b/c that was my first thought , but they all told me that it wasnt nesscary. That sounds like this might be the answer I really hope it is..

when you stabbed the CAS did you line up the mark on the pulley to the one on the right?

Injectors rarly stick open. That would be one of the last things I would check.

It's common to put the CAS in 180 degrees backwards. Engine will still run but do exactly what you describe.

Are your fuel lines on backwards. Flow should be to the bottom rail at the pulsation damper. The return connects to the regulator on the secondary rail.

How about the pressure regulator? Vacuum line hooked up to a vacuum port and NOT an atmospheric port?

Jay- Try setting the TPS, and make sure the boost sensor is plugged up.
