Unhappy Got my license, lost my trans

So I finally got my license today. I was insanly happy about that, and the first chance I got I wound the beast out to 80 in 3rd to pass a guy. Here's the sad part of my day.... My girlfriend and I took off, so she could get ready to go to the cruise night downtown in out little crap town. On the way out, stopped at a friend of hers house, and got back on the bypass, got through 1st and 2nd just fine. When I went to 3rd to get up to speed, my clutch pedal stayed on the floor, and the tras wouldnt engage. After getting the clutch back, threw her in second, and all was well. Leaving my g/f's house, I noticed a wicked growl in 1st. Stopped by a friend of mine @ work, with the same growl in first, though getting louder. Hit downtown, and while on a country road, I couldnt get into second. Stopped and had nohing but reverse. Get her into gear. wouldnt catch second. Ended up not being able to get any gear, I called a buddy with a tow truck. Now my car is sitting at my shop waiting for the trans to be yanked and replaced along w/ the pilot bearing(main problem) and replaed with the one from my GTU. Well, sorry for the long post, just had to get it all out.

The clutch staying to the floor part, that sounds hydraulic.

New clutch? Yes, it does sound like a hydraulic.

check the clutchline, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, and the fluid level.
