got my car started...

Well my car sat for a few months and wouldn't start. Today I put some oil in one leading and one trailing plug hole and cranked it up and it started right up. So does this mean I have low compression or that it was flooded really badly or what?

Oh also, I believe my turbo is blown. Here is what make me think that:

1. absolutely no positive boost
2. car smokes constantly, pretty heavily
3. smoke comes from both sides of the turbo(front/back)

Just want to be sure that it is the turbo. I have my hybrid one I am about to put on as soon as I port the wastegate. Thanks.

Sounds like your turbo is shot. As for the compression, maybe you had sticky seals, but to be safe buy a compression tester, from Sears or somewhere, and check the compression with the car up to normal running temp. The tester will give you an idea of your compression though it's not always exact and there are a few variables.

I might just have my local rotary shop do a compression test so I can get some numbers and go from there.

I figure my turbo is shot, like 99% sure. Just good to hear that it is for sure before I go to the trouble of taking it off and ****. My shop was going to charge me for 5 hours of labor, which is $300. So I'm going at it myself.

I think the place over here charges like $60 to do a compression test. I just want my damn boost back already
