Hmm, not to be threadjacking, but, what about a system with two gt 28's in paralell?(downgrade? im more of an fc guy) or maybe just stock parralel conversion, with a v mount? Why go so muggin big with a gt 42?

it a gt40 not a gt42 you guys think it too big, it has a 1.19 hot side, i wanna see if i could have gotton a .95 but i guess i would try it first then see what to do

i did not have the stock twin's turbos i had to peice together this motor, beside most of the twins are old aready i dont wanna put a turbo in that is gonna start smoking in a few weeks. i am using a haltech e6a

Are those 6 port pieces on motivefab designed to be used instead of wiring the 5th and 6th ports open? Not trying to steal the thread, just wondering.

No, they are to smooth the flow of air into the engine by using the 5/6port sleeves. The stock airflow is turbulent at best. Pineapple express also sells CNC machined ones.

I think you'll have lag problems with that turbo on a stock port REW. Especially with that hot side. With as street port it will be OK.

Just as an example, I'm putting a GT40 with a 1.06 hotside on my aux-bridge engine and I'm a bit worried about lag (even with the dual ball bearing version...).

I've been wondering about that- couldn't you essentially achieve the same effect with about $4 of JB Weld? I've been considering trying that out on mine since I've got the sleeves out (and have a spare set from another engine if I screw it up :P).
