Question Got a jdm engine, any special trick for unseizing?

So I came across a jdm engine the other day, brought it home, and started to disassemble it. As Im taking it apart, there is a little bit of surface rust on some parts, but it is coming apart without a fight. I get the turbo and manifolds off so I can peep in the exhaust ports to see the rotors and I see rust on the rear rotor itself. The front rotor just looks like it has carbon build up. I go to turn over the engine by hand and it won't budge. Is there anyway special trick to possibily unseizing an engine that has been sitting for a while or does it sound like Im gonna need to rebuild?

Return it immediately and go somewhere else. Contact Japan2LA to see if he has any engines for sale. You've just learned the hard way that you should a) spin the engine by hand before buying, and b) compression test / visually inspect through the ports before buying.

I obtained the long block as a core, just wanted to see if I could get lucky and maybe free the unstuck engine with a special trick I haven't heard about. Sounds like there aren't any special ways to make it work, so its time for a rebuild.

you are also going to need to replace (at minimum) an iron, rotor and probably the rotor housing. and then add the price of a rebuild kit and new seals...it gets expensive quick. if you didnt pay for the block i guess its a decent deal.

Blow coolant seal

Or

Engine importer washed the engine and filled it with water...

Regardless its screwed now...

Engine sits with wate inside the housings= JUNK Engine

This is one reason why I NEVER wash these engines...

No way, rust kills the housings and plates. It gets under the platings on the housings and just destroys it. You might be able to salvage the rotor. Like a previous post said, yeah you can rebuild it, but you are going to likely replace two plates and a housing. That adds up real quick.
