Got Autopower! Meximodifications~!~! Check it out~!

So i been a member on the club for over 5 years now and figured i might as well contribute something, as i am long overdue for all the help thats been given to me.

So Im building my own car for track use, AS i am just getting into the sport, I dont want to lose the comfort of having my "home" feel in my 7...In other words.. I want to keep as much as my beautifull black interior as i can....and not gut the car pretending to be an Awesome rice-o-riffic racer.....I figure if i get into it big enough and i get noticed and sponsored, Ill gut the mother effer throw their stickers on it and call it good....

So While Installing the Cage today, I noticed ...

1. I cant use my window visors
2...The rear storage bins WILL not be able to open, they hit the bottom of the cage..
3.I wanted to relocate my battery to the bins...The battery will not fit.

this left me at a dilemma...Pull the storage boxes out and have a big old nasty hole in my interior that defeats the whole purpose of trying to keep my interior...ORRR......MEXIMODIFICATION (mount em backwards)

So first up. THE PROBLEM

AS you can see, These bins are going no where...

To fix this remove the bin, and Mock up where The Handle will meet the Storage bin Skeloton....You will have to do the same for the Hinges on the opposite side as well....

Next Step...Cut these bitches out ( WEAR GLOVES fiberglass itches like crazy) Dremel would have been nice...But this is a meximodification~!

You will Also need to remove This Lil screw Stub as it doesnt do anything and it gets in the way..

This is what it will look like on the back.

And on the front of the storage bin.

You are going to Need to Drill two new Mounting Holes to catch the fiberglass behind it ( This is a MUST in order to keep the boxes flush when their mounted)

Now its time to mount them ( attach your lights ect. Screw in the screws...Looks like This

And To show you all how wide they will open.. Here ya go~! Wide enough to Relocate my Battery and keep it Hidden~! Sits pretty damn flush as well

i hate how the autopower bar interferes with the bins, i have a customer's car in the shop now where the battery is being held hostage.
