good T04 sizes for S5 TurboII (some combos don't have maps)
good T04 sizes for S5 TurboII (some combos don't have maps)
I'm looking at picking up a T04 for my S5 TurboII. I want it to be more than just a highway monster (no T78 sized turbos) and to spool decent around 3000 or a little above (maybe not full boost, but spool).
I had a T04E 60-1 with a .58 A/R (I think) hotside on another car before and it spooled really quick, but I know the .58 A/R is probably small for this car. I've heard people say you want a 1.15 or at least a 1.00 A/R hotside.
Right now I'm looking at a T04B .60 A/R Compressor side, 47.6 mm inducer and 70 mm exducer. Hotside is divided 1.00 A/R and a 62 trim wheel.
The other T04B I'm looking at has a .60 A/R Compressor side, 51.6 mm inducer, 70 mm exducer. Hotside is divided 1.15 A/R, P trim wheel.
Question I've got is, a .60 A/R T04B can have a different inlet and outlet sizes than a .60 A/R T04E can't it? Therefore without knowing the inlet or outlet size, doesn't the A/R not do much for you? A higher A/R on a smaller hotside would be similar to a lower A/R on a larger hotside, right?

so the T04B .8 or .9 A/R is good, and a T04E 1.0 or 1.15 A/R is good? There's a difference between the two overall sizes, so the right A/R is different if it's a T04B or a T04E?
unless you have a ported motor stay with a .96, maybe a 1.00. The T60-1, To4E-R & S are all perfect turbo's for street, strip and track and will beat just about anything you come across... I have the 1.00 A/R on a ported motor and @ 20psi its 500rwhp-ish give or take

So you think the T04B .60 A/R Compressor side, 47.6 mm inducer and 70 mm exducer, divided hotside 1.00 A/R and a 62 trim wheel, is a good fit? How's it compare to the T04E T04R, or T04S?

All right... which one is the best fit?
T04B .60 A/R Compressor side, 47.6 mm inducer and 70 mm exducer. Hotside is divided 1.00 A/R and a 62 trim wheel.

Which is a better fit for decent street driving, and still have plenty for the highway?
And wtf is turbo inducer and turbo exducer?

Inducer and exducer is the parts of the compressor wheel. I had a great link to explinations of all this but its on my home pc i'm at work right now. :/
What trim are the compressor wheels? I am not that well at recognizing them by the actual measurements.
