Is this a good product?

Hi Gang,
Getting ready to do some exhaust repairs on my '88 and wondered if this was a good deal.

Title: "SCE Pro Copper Exhaust Manifold Gasket for Mazda RX7"

http://compare.ebay.com/like/1805369...=263602_263632

It's a fraction of the gasket from Mazdatrix (or Mazda itself for that mattter). Is this a too good to be true? Or a good deal

THX

If it's too good to be true...................

I do not know how well cooper would hold up the rotary engines exhaust temps. I saw on the forum the other day a failed exhaust gasket that was ceramic coated.

You could be onto something though, if so that's a good find. Someone with some knowledge chime in please.

When it comes to exhaust and components for our Engines, you get what you pay for. It may work for awhile but for longevity stick with the best.

failed i'm sure. i have used copper for the manifold to turbo gasket and it doesn't work too well.

even though i pick up plugs regularly also, they now are special order for even the most common parts for these cars. most of the time i order **** online as to not support the stores that don't support the cars. bout the only thing you can find is belts and hoses still in stock at most chain stores.

I have an exhaust manifold to engine gasket. Works great. Just don't try to get them to make you anything custom. I got boned on that, lost some gaskets, months of my life, money and never saw a product they were making custom for me.

I'm not surprised the manifold to turbo gasket would fail. That's a lot of heat over a very small surface area. Perhaps the engine to manifold will fair better.

I went ahead and ordered one from them last weekend. They e-mailed me yesterday asking what the part number was. Durf. Thinking they should know that... but whatever, we'll see how long it lasts if it ever gets here.
