good looking 2nd gens

i am debating on whether or not to get an fc or an s13 240sx. in my opinion i think modified s13's look better but i was wondering if someone had some good pics of an fc with body kit and such. i know both the cars potentials but what would the handling difference be?
thanks

if you ask this question here on an "RX-7" forum, guess what you'll get for an answer? heheh

I drove an s13 for a little while, and I can tell you that those things have excellent handling (the engine isn't that great though unless you swap or do some work). But the handling is where they shine! I still like the 7 much more than anything though, but they're great cars none the less.

The s13 240sx would be my pick if i didnt have an RX-7 i love those things i think the s13 and the FC look damn near the same but the s13 has a variety of cheaper body kits for it unlike the FC if you want a body kit start learning japanese that is where the better looking body kits come from for the FC

The 240SX has that solid, but crappy KA24DE truck engine.
Thats all you should need to know.

The FC has a 13b. The turbo version is better but they all come with a version of the 13b.

I'm of course partial the the FC...they handle exceptionally well and make great drifters too. Plus a TII would have much more power than the S13, unless of course you did an SR20 swap. Here's a pick of the GP kit, one of the nicest IMO...

I'd definitely go with the RX-7, 240sx's are nothing spectacular and a hundred people are doing SR20DET swaps. Also, for the price of the 240 and the price of the SR20DET swap, you could probably afford an FC3S and a 20B swap. Which i'm fairly sure would own an SR20DET.

Wow where did you pick up that kit. I love it. Looking for something very similar.

yea, FCs are 13Bs, but the turbo(4port) and N/A(6port) aren't exactly the same. nor would the swap be. before thinking going n/a->T2 engine, do research, someone posted somewhere pretty much all you'd need, and the price list for every part for the swap. but this doesnt mean you couldn't go turbo on a 6port. either way, there'd be a lot of work to do on an n/a engine, but i guess you have some spending money since you were gonna do an SR20 swap(~$3800 altogether).

A 13bt swap is like swapping in an NA engine but using a different intake and installing some hair dryer thing and an intercooler and some little things it is nothing that you cant do yourself its all plug and play

for those that dont know installing an sr20det is alot harder b/c of the wiring harness and how it has to be converted sport compact car has done a very good write-up on how extensive the swap is.. you might want to check it out may 02 issue

oh i wasnt aware the fc's had a 13b also. so what is the engine difference of a T2 and an fd? that is one nice pic of the FC, i had seen a similar kit in one of my friends car mags from HK but i could never find that pic again... thanks alot. right now i am really mixed, on the one side the s13 is really cheap but i guess the swap would be more difficult. then theres the fc, which is slightly more exspensive, and yes i did read the n/a to t2 swap and it didnt sound all that difficult. i really should start reading some specs on these cars, thing is the specs on an s13 with sr20 vary alot. what are the performance specs on a t2 conversion vs an sr20 swap? and also is that a jap kit?

hey, forget 240sx's i had a 300zx and i wish i never sold it now. I loved that car it was a 86' 5spd turbo and ever 240sx or mustang 5.0 that tried to race me lost! no one thought it could be that quick and the handling was a dream! But i like the rx7's now but i still would get a 300 again
