ok, i got a 86 n/a 7 here. the exhaust is completly rusted out from the Y pipe back. it sounds Bad, looks bad and puts fumes in my car (rust holes everywhere and tips fell off)...... so i went to my friends shop and cut from the Y pipe back off. and in place of it now is a single 2.5 pipe coming out of the driver side with a reative muffler (2.5' inlet, 4' tip).... total cost $175 i do have plans to Y pipe it agian just not soon. would i notice any kind of gain from this? or did i just waisted $175 (it does sound alot better, and i car ride with my windows up now)

Well, if it sounds better, and your not dying from exhaust inhalation, I would think that was $175 well spent.

lol my exhaust makes your original look like a racing beat full dual. Lol, and yes, my windows area always down.
