good deal for a tII?

some dude has an 88 TII with 200,000 on the body, 100,000 on the rebuilt and ported motor, a 91 turbo, 3inch exhaust all the way back (ractive exhaust), nice black original paint with a few chips here and there, and the interior is decent except for the seats which are completly shot...

i have an 89 gtu with 150,000 miles on it and an 86 base that needs a new tranny.

hes sellin the car for 3 grand..and told me if i give him both of my rx7s he will take off 1000 dollars..which i really think i should get more for. he also tells me my 89 gtu is in fact not a gtu at all because they didnt make them in 89, he told me its an 86 base and the guy before me made it into a gtu..which is complete bullshit. i think hes just trying to screw me over..

but on the other hand the guy does work on rotary engines every day of his life and has a 9 sec car..

how much money do you think i should really get for those 2 7's and what do you think about this deal?

ractive is from autozone! probbally slows it down if anything. and no it sounds like a lousy deal -2 for 1? Id hold out for a better deal.

That's extremely high mileage, for 3000. You can find one with 100k on the entire body for that much. No good.

He did no justice w/ that puny exhuast!! the car as a whole is nice but he's askin too much, you should tell him $1500-$2000 and he can keep his motor and exhuast lol. and its hard to tell if it is a s5 from the side skirts, getting the vin # check will give you a for sure answer.

i have no idea how big those rims were...but its extremly hard for me to find a nice TII around here. Ideally id like to by a mint body with a blown motor and have it built to my liking...

Buy the wheels and sell them out, then buy a blown TII and rebuild it..

this seems fishy. 3k for an S5 with 200k miles on it? he has S4 tails on it. look in the driver side door jam for the manufacture date. its by where the tire pressures are. do the same on your 89 gtu. then tell him to go **** himself if he wont take like 1500 for it.

i don't like people that lie, if he sais it is a 12 second car i will assume the engine is about to pop and i wouldn't give him a penny more than $500 for it.
