good day for me do it yourself projects!!look at all i did!!

i fixed my passenger side power windo regulator...finally!! alsofixed my cpu(the solder thing) but still cant get any beeps for anything and cant get my factory alrm to work...any suggestions where else to look?

the window was real fun to fix..had to remove the whole assembly and put new cables in..if any one wants a detailed write up on what all i did..ill post it.

when i took my assembly out i noticed that the top cable guide was broken (damn) but i still found the broken peice. also went to the junkyard and looked at an 88 vert (mines an 89 vert) the 88 had the same broken peice broken at exactly the same place(my broken peice fit exactly on the 88's broken spot so it looks like this is a trend for this particular peice of plastic) after hours of trying ways to attach it back (fiberglass ing it didnt hold) i eventually drilled a hole through the entire slide and screwed that baby where it should be...yessir it worked!! i now can drive around with my top down and not look like an *** with only one window down..yippee!!! the cables werent the right size so i had to cut to size and then manufacture an anchor that fits inside of the motor and to the slide that connects to the window(it slides up and down because of this)

while at the junkyard i picked up some interior peices out of the 88 and went to the store and bought some black duplicolor leather/vinyl paint(some of the peices were gray and didnt match my interior) painted them up and it looks great. as i see any faded peices in my car i will paint them back to original color or if i pick up any other pieces tha are a different color ill paint them to match. this paint rules..i was very surprised!!

anyone wants more info ill be glad to help

The small plungers on the door sill are most probably the source of the alarm problems. Remove them, clean them up - removing all the rust off them - lube them up with some wd40 etc, clean the mating surface on the car, and reinstall. Chances are, this will help.

Hey, I wouldn't mind seeing your writeup of the window fix. I have a 91 vert that was hit on the pass. door. Same problem -- the plastic cable guides are broke and the cables are all stuck/tangled/frayed...
