End play worries

All this reading about dropped bearings has raised a few questions.

I have the engine fully assembled, but in cant move the ecc shaft back and forth at all. Form what i read its supposed to have a very small amount of play?

I dunno how it would be wrong, i assembled the engine with all teh same components and made sure the bearing didnt drop

The e-shaft end play should be approximately 0.001" to 0.002". The only way you'll be able to detect this small amount of end play is with a dial indicator. If you reused the original thickness spacer, than should be within spec provided that your thrust bearings are ok. The FSM has a procedure to verify whether or not a bearing has dropped during assembly. The FSm says that you need to measure distance between the inside bore of the front pulley and the end of the e-shaft. If the measured gap does not meet the specified value, than the bearing may have dropped.
