I am looking for a good replacement seat for my drivers side. I was thinking about going with a racing seat. Any ideas that going to be easy on my wallet but are still good.

Depends on what your idea of a "racing seat" is. Polyethylene seats are cheap. The "tuner" style buckets are more expensive.

Summit sells the typical "racing seat" under their house name.

I much prefer kirkey intermediate road racer seats although these aren't budget.

The Tenko R ones look nice, they have holes for a four point. I just need to find a shop that sells them here in FL to save on shipping costs and confustion, I live on base stupid P.O Box that UPS will not ship to.

Im 6'1" and i have a spacro seat (fixed bucket) with sparco mount and fixed sidemounts. They are all the way back and as low as it goes. Helmet still hits the roof

Trust me. Any reclining seat will be worse. So if you plan to autocross this is something to consider

I had been looking at the Corbeau GTS II for a stockish looking replacement for my TII seat http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/gts_ii/. Any of you big guys care to chime in about how uncomfortable these seats are with a 40" waste?

Just buy a used BRIDE and replace the coushin if necessary. Vios III Low Max's are extremely comfortable, I prefer them for road trips compared to the stock seats, as well as any spirited driving.

wouldn't a recliner be better because it can lean back?

Friend of mine had some Bomz Racing seats in his Eclipse. They are only like $300 for two of them. He put a velcro thing on top of the Bomz logo that said Bride.

^lol

I sat in my friends low max seats (out of car) and it felt fine, though with it in the car, I dont know how it will be. Also, my ffriends bride seat with an inflatable lumbar support that he installed in his civic feels so damn comfortable. So comfortable we drove from Philly to Boston and back and felt no discomfort at all.
I am also in need of a good racing seat. This cheapo 3a racing seat is wearing out.
