Gilmour drives

Anyone using gilmour drives?
What do they sound like on a series 4? As in do they still make that mean 'whining' noise?

You should get corksport to make a set that works with the stock a/c and p/s bolt ons, the non important things will use v-belts, but the main belt cogged, that would be good ****, no underdrive **** either

A mate of mine had Gilmer pulllies on his S4, and retained both the AC and PS. The stock two-row pulley that drives them simply bolted to the front the Gilmer crank pulley just like the stock arrangement.

Peronally I think they're a waste of a lot of money. I have a dual-belt alternator pulley, and even with the stock clutch fan I have zero slippage on any belt. Why spend money fixing a non-existent problem?

because it whines...

no seriously, that will be his answer.

And I do concur with ya, the only time I ever had belt slippage was when it was raining, and the clutch fan had locked up.

cogged belt and pulley

zero slippage, and apparently makes a whining noise, which is anti-JDM
