getting rid of stock airbox

i dont know to much about the setup for the air intake on my 88 gxl, but i wanna learn so i can get rid of the monstorous stock airbox. i took it all apart and found the mass airflow sensor right below the airbow and a couple of hoses conected to it. if i get rid of that air box what do i do about these things? add the filter with the sensor and stuff still there or is there someway around that too? i dunno, i am sure someone can tell me more then i know.

on ebay there are plenty of afm adapters and filters that sell for about 25 bucks that is you best bet to get rid of that obnoxious plastic air filter

You need an adapter, cone filter, and a breather (if you still have the smog pump). Do a search for rx7 or rx-7 on ebay and you will find alot of these filter kits.
