Getting parts

Hey guys,
I just acquired my new rx7 a few days ago and was curious what websites you use and find helpful when you are shopping for parts you need.

use the classifieds section here for the best deals. You can also use ebay, rx7.com, mazdatrix.com, etc - use this web sites search function for the parts you need and you will likely find a web site listed that has whatever you need.

www.rx7club.com: tons of used stuff that doesn't wear out
www.racingbeat.com, www.mazdatrix.com: performance parts that you want new (that does wear out), limited selection of maintenance parts (including some OEM)
Mazda Dealer: OEM maintenance parts, repair parts
Auto parts store: non-OEM maintenance parts

Getting OEM for thermostats is a must. For other maintenance parts opinions vary. Do a forum or google search for other suppliers of performance parts; the 2 I listed are just the highest quality & most reputable suppliers.

well since this topic came up can someone let me in on why all the auto parts stores do not carry an oil pan gasket for our cars? its kinda inconvenient to have to order one, rather than drivin down the road and pickin on up

Ive found it is very hard to find desireable cars in Junk yards personally, I live in the north east. Ive been to a few in MD and have yet to see one 7 (only mazda Ive seen is a early 90s Miata). But I also Have a broken leg so junkers are even more annoying when i crutch around the whole god damn thing not find one part!
