to get or not to get?

i found an 87 turbo 2 with 70k orginal miles thats in near mint condition for 7k or best offer. my question is that should i sell me 88 se that i just had a remanufactured engine in it and buy the turbo. is that a good deal or what should i talk him down too.

If I was dipping into the 86-88 years, it would be a 10th AE Turbo II.

You will pay less for emaculent overall by paying a premium now. Hope that helps.

he also says it has 273 hp. so he has a few mods to it too.i offered him 5k. do u think that was a good price to offer. he gave me a call back but i wasnt home. so i hope he took me on it.

Yeah,

Depending on the mods it might make a great RX-7. As always get a compression test.

$7k is TOO HIGH!&nbsp $5k is more reasonable.

Is the 273hp to the wheels or to the flywheel?&nbsp I doubt any stock turbo'd car could attain that kinda power levels, so be wary...

Even flywheel power, it took me an upgrade compressor housing and 15psi of boost to hit 250 to the wheels.&nbsp That's a little over 280 to the flywheel, but most people aren't crazy enough to crank the boost up that high on the stock IC!
