is a generic turbo back exhaust as good as the racing beat one?

AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH... the car was designd for TWO mufflers...... TWO..... TWO.... I still can't fathom why anybody would want to put a single exhaust on it.... except maybe that its cheaper.
And nobody better give me that weight saving crap... the 15-20 Lbs of the RB duals over a single exhaust is well worth it when you figure that the noise level of two mufflers can be much better than that of a single and flow better at the same time.
now that i got that out of my system.
I've had a whole circus full of exhaust systems since i was 16 and the quality of the racing beat stuff is second to none.
If you can afford it, get it. you will not be dissapointed.

I custom built my exhaust and put it on yesterday. 2.5" pipe all the way back, no cats, and into 2 polished stainless 2.5" in/out Magnaflow mufflers. The part number is #14256...they were about $90 each shipped. I have access to a pipe bender, MIG welder, cutting wheel, car lift, and all the pipe I could need. This system is seriously very quiet and deep sounding. I was suprised when I started it...its just barely louder than stock and only the bass of the exhaust note comes through. I personlly don't like loud exhaust unless its on a V-8, so this system is perfect for me and only cost me around $200.

first off the stock exhaust is very, very, very restrictive... and then it gets to the y pipe, which is like an 1" in diameter??? comon just because it came with a y pipe
"dual" exhaust, doesnt mean its better of that way... Yes it may look nicer, but those considering power only a str8 pipe back would give the results wanted... I understand if we had a v-anything type of motor with 2 heads, but no we got 2 ports and they happen to be on the sma side..... so the 7 is and always will be meant to be single....unles you are n/a and you run an exhaust for each port... but for turbo, its definately better off single back...

I have a corksports it's straight 3".It's cheaper than RB but now that they cancelled their presilencer it's not worth getting cause it's very loud, unless you spend another $100 on getting a muffler and replacing straight pipe with it. For about $300 bucks more you can get full RB and I would highly recommend it.
