I am not new to the rx world, but have been out of the game for a few years. I am looking to buy a nice new (to me) project car and have decided on a gen 2 convertible (black, black, black) Needs lots of body work,but thats what project cars are for. I am going to do all the body work, but I would like to do a headlight conversion. The kit I have seen that appeals to me was on an 84 GSL-SE and it had two h4 bulbs (small lamps about 3") on either side. Only "popped" up about a third of the way compared to normal. Now I know that there is a difference between the two cars (second gen and first gen) but there must be a kit somewhere. This is only the first of a million questions! (just kidding, but I will be back!) Thanks for the help

The 2nd gen conversion will be a 6054 sealed beam to a 2 piece housing and bulb (H4). I got a kit by Hella for 100 Canadian Dollars (should be about 60 US) that's great. From there you can swap any H4 make and colour in you see fit. I think that's what you're getting at, but I'm not 100%. Your orignal intentions were a bit sketchy, you may be looking for a full conversion with the dual round lenses etc. Hope this helps.
