Gearing Vs Light flywheels

89GXLN/AS5

I was wondering since shorter gears like 4.3s create more torque then this would counteract the affects of a light weight flywheel like 12-13lbs as with my car. Doesent that make sense? Less stumble and bog especially when drag racing wich is my main concern. Thnx
