is this normal for FC's... everytime i shift, the "shif up" light turns on too early. Its like between 1000 and 2000 rpms, it turns on. And everytime it turns on, i loose some rpm, cant even floor it coz when it reaches 4000 the speed seems like to bounce. How do i correct this?

 

Is this on an auto? Swap a manual into it.

 

Why would an auto have a shift up light?

What exactly happens at 4000rpm? Does the car kinda hesitate? Check your grounds maybe?

 

its manual tranny. yeah, its kinda sort of hesitates, specially in the 1st, second and 3rd gear. the thing is im new to RX-7 just got this from my aunt 2 weeks ago. my cousin used to own this but he passd away 3 yrs ago, so.. the car hasnt been on the street for 2 plus yrs. and im not good with electrical. your ideas are really appreciated. thanks!

 

The shift up light should come on around 2600 RPM for less than half throttle and at 4000 RPM at more than half throttle.

 

ic. but mine usually comes up between 1000 to 2000 rpms on the 1st and 2nd gears. and everytime it comes up the speeds kinda hesitate.
