i just recently bought a 86 either gxl or sport...not sure which model yet, it doesnt have any emblems except the "mazda" and "rx-7" ones. anyway, the motor runs very well, only has about 50 k on it. i bought it from a dealership and it came with an aftermarket 2 1/4" (i think havent measured) single tip exaust(changing going back to duals) and after driving awhile i start to feel heat from the gear box. the boot gets pretty hot and i was just wondering if that was normal for these cars? it did it in my prelude too, but not as bad.
