Gauge and starting issues
Gauge and starting issues
The past few days my car has had trouble starting after sitting at night. I switched my battery last night with a new one, and now the car won't start. With the key in, the voltage and fuel gauges do not work. Going to start does nothing. I've checked both sets of fuses and they are all fine. I can turn the lights/running lights/ hazards all on, but the blinkers don't work (key in or out). I was hoping to find a fuse/relay for the gauges or fuel pump. I guess the ignition switch could be out, computer shouldn't cause that stuff to not work right?
for the record. I've been looking through my chilton's and the fsm with no luck. I spent the last hour or so reading every related thread for wont start batter fuse gauges ect...

You should not be stumped.
If the power feed to the ignition switch is lost, you will have the symptoms described. Headlight work, but no action from the key.
Seeing as how you changed batterys, you might look for two things. One is the MAIN RELAY being blown.
The other is the ignition feed wire. It is BLACK and a single wire. There is a connector for it just about six inches below the engine bay fuse box. See it that is connected up or got disconnected. Again, it's a single wire connector.
