Gauge Panels (Still available if interested)

Hey guys, for everyone who has already seen these im posting them again to get ride of my remaining panels. I would like to get ride of these so I can start my next project which im sure you will all like. It has to do with your headlights to give you a clue.

If anyones interesting in purchasing one here ya go.

I have posted these before with one version, now I have 3 to choose from. I made these to see if they would sell and I ran out pretty quickly so I made more. For the guys that did not see these before they are for a 86' thru 91' FC that did not come equipt with a factory CD player. They mount the same way the factory stereo came attached. The gauge holes are 2 1/16 dia. and the stereo cut out will fit the standard single DIN size. I once again only have a limited quanity so its first come first serve. The price is $53 shipped and I accept PayPal @ BrianS2@ptdprolog.net if you are interested in buying one.
Thanks,
Brian

There shouldn't have been any fitment prolbems, perhaps you might have gotten a bad one some how. If you would like you can send it back for a free replacement. I sorry for the inconvience.

I have a few questions as I also tried to install your panel and it would not fit.

It appears very close, but not exact. are you making each one new? or from template?

Perhaps you guys had the stock CD player. Cars that came with the stock CD player have a slightly different surround I believe. I've been known to be wrong though.

All of these panels are made by a computer controlled punch press and a computer controlled press brake. There should be no more than a 1/16" variance from each other. I have sold approx. 50 of these without any major prolbems. I will stand behind my product %100. Same goes for you GLHS if you would like to return yours for a free replacement let me know.

Brian,
Have you been able to fit 60mm gauges in there? If not the triple pod, what about fitting them in the double pod? Some silver Greddys would look nice in there.

Unfortunately the biggest that will fit in that space will be the 50-52mm gauges. That would look nice though.

Would you be interested in making panels that replace the idiot cluster? Maybe a triple pod, that would be a little wider, but fit in the same space.

Like this one: (obviously not an FC)

I know I, and im sure a few other members would like one. Maybe it would be worthwile?

The one I got was great. It was a tight fit but I got it in there. Stupid me installed some switches so I had to trim a bit of the lower portion to get the wires to run by it. But thats my fault Only took about 30 seconds with a grinder.

If you look in my pic above where it is installed in the car, you will see two filler peices on each side of the panel. Those are the things you will need to make it fit correctly.

I'd also be interested in the idiot cluster mount, if you can find a nice way of building it!!! I would want three 52mm mounts though.......

1FAST2,

could you get a close up of your stereo install with the braket... apparently my sony aftermarket single DIN Cd player is significantly smaller then the hole for it.

so i'm not quite sure at the momment how to mount it to your guage panel

Ok, tonight I will try and get some pics for you. Heres a little trick you may want to try. Install the panel in the dash. Replace the large outter plastic trim. After everything is in place then mount your stereo last. If you want send me a pic of the prolbem you are having and maybe I can understand your prolbem a little better. All single DIN cutouts are the same size.
