Gauge cluster removal
I have another thread where I am chasing a shorted wire, I am at the point where I need to remove the cluster on a 1987 N/A Rx7. I have searched and can not find any diy. I am at the point where the cluster is loose but I can not get it far enough out to get to the connectors, it will only move about a half inch or so, HELP. What can I do to get more room.
Sorry to double post but I was hoping that this title would get more attention.
57 days until DGRR, trying to get ready by then, and there is a laundry list. Once I get this wiring done I can get some paint issues taken care of. woo hoo

You need to get under the car and disconnect the SPEEDO cable from a Square-ish looking plastic cable holder that sits under the car..(YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE CABLE FROM THE TRANS)
That allows you to push the speedo cable inside the Firewall towards the Speedo and makes the cluster have more room to allow you to some wiggle room to get at the connectors.
