Good to hear it was such a small problem. Good persistence! And you could jumper the voltage from Red/Black to R/G and bypass part of the switch as the voltage which powers R/B is to power the tail lights thus you would be running off of that circuit, which is how mine has been wired for years (R/B should be next to W/G in the switch plug).
