Gauge Cluster Harness removal?

How do you get the stupids harness out of the guage cluster. I tryed pushing the center pin, but they won't budge. Do they twist or pull out?

The haresses are the standard pull out variety with a catch-lever. I replaced my gauges before and the biggest pain is the fact that the speedo cable is a bitch to reach and remove and the whole black surround can barely clear the steering wheel... ( I had to do pull on the wheel to get the whole assembly out. )

Damn I knew this would come up someday... and I did it like three weeks ago and had the same problem.

The speedo cable has a clip on it, then it just pulls out... you can see it in one of these pictures.

The other two things have a plastic clip in the middle... the stupid part is you have to push one of them up, and one of them down... and I forget which one is which. But just try it... people told me to be careful because the solder on the pins (you can see these in the pics) is weak... mine had no problems at all but I figured give you warning since people warned me.

I suggest taking the speedo off, it just pulls out... then you have a lot more room to work with.
