Hey guys I have an 89 GTU and I need a new gauge cluster.

1. I am looking for a new gauge cluster if anyone has one for sale
and
2. I wanted to know if the S4 and S5 gauge clusters are the same

a "new" cluster? like OEM brand new? they will run you a few hundred bucks IF you can find one...probably close to $1000. used ones go for about $20.

they are not the same. the s4 cluster will work with minor modifications to the cluster harness. check the wiring diagrams. you have to repin the harness...takes about an hour.

 

sorry too high jack your thread.. but was wondering if a s4 fuel unit inside the cluster will change into a s5 cluster

 

Sorry I didnt meen literally new. I just need a replacement and for some reason I cant make threads in the FS section.

I am looking to get a replacement gauge cluster and a roperly depowered steering rack
