Gasket Question.
I have a RB Header in the shipping process right now, not sure when it will arrive though, but anyways. I was wondering if it uses the same gasket as the exhaust manifold. Do I have to order a new gasket from RB or can I just go grab one for the exhaust manifold from the mazda dealership.
And I know it has probably been discussed, but I figure I might as well ask. Is it worth cutting the collector out and extending the 2 header pips back a couple feet and then putting collector back on? Or does it not make enough of a difference to be worth it? I have heard it can we worth doing but not really sure.
Thanks.

Keep Right Except to Pass
It's the same gasket and you may be able to recycle your old one if it's in good shape. I reused the ones on my turbo w/o problems. Even if they're questionable you could smear some exhaust sealant on it if you could find some up to the temp. task. I used some on my DP gasket and it was definitely not up to it. It was just a powdery residue when I cracked it open next.
Sorry I can't help you with your 2nd question. Could you ditch the collector altogether and run true duals?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I am considering ditching collector for true duels, but that comes down to financial situation, not alot cash flowin my way at so not sure if I could afford 2 new mufflers or not.
