Gas Pedal/ Fuel Help

Alright here's the problem, When i'm at a full tank of gas my gas pedal gives fuel right away but sometimes it doesn't. Works like 98% of the time.

When i get towards the bottom of the tank, like the bottom 1/4, i'll press the pedal to go and it won't give it gas till i press it down really hard.

So i'm guessing maybe it's something with the fuel line, like the fuel pump. I'm not sure really. Anyone got any ideas??

Replace your fuel filters. There are too one in the tank and one near the driverside of the engine bay near the tranny.

For some reason, the way you discribe it, it sounds like you have an automatic transmission. Like when you press the gas really hard to accelerate, I just picture the car downshifting to meet your demand to accelerate.

I haven't seen this problem before. There is a filter on the fuel pump, and a filter on the line right where the fuel line comes into the engine bay. I would imagine that the fuel filters being clogged would cause the problem all the time, not when the tank is lower on fuel. Interesting dilema.
