gas mileage affects question

What is affecting gas/mileage ?

Water temp ? (differenet when i`m under 1/5 on temp gauge or on 2/5)
Outside temperature ?
Band and type of used oil and if its 0 or 2500 miles on it ?

I have this idea, don`t have how much is it possible but ... I think that i have better gas mileage when i`m doing 100 mph on interstate than when i`m going only 80...
I think (don`t know if its possible) that my primary injectors are leaking into intake more than they should, so when i`m on 3000+ rpm but below point when secondaries kick in its getting too much gas....But if i`ll go 100mph in 5th gear its 4000 rpm...it means that primaries cycle goes down and secondaries goes on low cycle too....i think that it takes less gas on 4000 rpm than on 3000-3500

Is it possible or i don`t know what i`m talking about ?

of course u will get better mileage when doing 100mph vs 80mph

for good gas mileage
some ppl say as less throttle as possible, and low rpm ...it is true that in this way, ur car can run a longer TIME b4 having to go fill up gas agian,
but not necessary mean u get a good gas mileage
imagine u in 3rd gear @ 2k rpm doing around 40mph vs 5th gear @4k rpm doing 85mph, of course the 85mph one will run out of gas faster,
but the gas mileage of the first one would be pretty bad comparing the second

the key point for good gas mileage is speed and the distance u actually traveled. a constant acceleration up to a certain point is always good too

Dont know if what you are claiming stands, but I do know that in my last highway trip, my TII went through a 60lt fill after only 300km

That means that I get 20lt/100km ON THE HIGHWAY Something's up...

So you are getting 250miles per tank, so thats 400km per 70lt, thats something like 17,5lt/100km, which I suppose is mixed (city-highway), right ? So how come i'm getting 25lt/100mk in city, and 20lt/100km on the highway ?

my tank is only 60liters (86-88 models have smaller gas tank than 89-91)
mentioned 250 miles is highway only (cca 410km) that makes about 15liters/100km

and remember i got NA engine in my car (havent put that 13BT yet ;P)

I believe for every 6m/h over 45m/h you get 1mpg less. I read that in a automotive journal years ago.

Depends on many things, but mainly aerodynamic resistance. The less resistance you have, the better your mileage will be, all else being equal. Of course, if the fewer rpm's your engine has to turn for a given speed, the better the gas mileage. then you have to figure in BSFC at given rpm's and vehicle weight, prevailing atmospheric conditions, etc... it's really a lot to figure.

Higgi, like me, you are probably dealing with a much colder climate than that which you just left. If you are way down low on the temp scale, you probably will be getting worse gas mileage because the computer is adjusting to bring the engine into normal temps (ECM thinks engine is still cold). For instance, my 87 Toyota pickup with the 2.4 EFI gets a whopping 12.5 mpg. It does have taller than stock tires, though, and it doesn't get driven long enough to warm up most of the time. That takes its toll in the form of reduced gas mileage.
