Don't feel bad. I go about 200 miles on half a tank and 50 on the other. Gauge/sender is as good as the other dash gauges.

I also never bother with shortening the fill up. I either fill it up all the way or I don't bother unless I forget my wallet and use the ashtray & under floormat spare change. Partial fillups do not equate to accurate mileage guestimates.

Yup. You won't really know what your gas milage is until you really check it. Watching the guage isn't accurate enough. Make sure the car is running right and doesn't leak any fuel if the gas milage is poor. (I get 21 city/country with redlining it).

I can't remember when I didn't fill a car to the top a the gas station. Gotta be years and years.

I got 20 city/29 hwy in my first 86 Base. I think one time I got like 31. It was cold out (requiring no A/C) and a long trip.

Never saw over 20 in my street-ported 86.

And I too almost always fill up when I get gas, so I can keep track of mileage. A downward trend in mileage in the same operating conditions is a good indicator of low compression (before it gets to be hard to start).

I get 300 kms in-town (bombing around delivering pizza - lead foot Big Time) and 600kms highway out of a full tank (63 litres.) Do your own conversion.

I get real crappy mileage because 80% of my driving ends up being stop n' go to and from school. I usually can pull about 220 miles out of a tank in my 91 NA

i hear ya man...that school traffic can be a real pain in the a$$...i remember in my FB i used to fill my tank a $5 a week...just to get me to school and back...i thought that was bad....until i got my FC...then gas started burning up like crazy...i think i get around 22mpg...but it usually depends on how heavy my foot wants to be

oh and zelgadiss-san...what part of jax are you in?

I get 22 city. 350 miles to the tank the last time I checked. That was a month ago. It's not too bad of gas mileage.

I live in riverside, over behind kent campus. I've seen a white 7 (didn't see if it was an s4 or s5) drive past me down park when I was on pinegrove, then yesterday I saw a white s4 turn left onto timiquana from the NAS side.

btw, by stop n' go, I mean the 10-95 merger ^_~

Just filled up, went 18 miles to my girlfriends house and then toped it off. I used .754 gallons in 18 miles and 16 of that was freeway so I would say I get about 20 MPG... IMO that's horrible and if the 7 wasn't so much fun to drive I would not want to drive it as much ;-)

87 base

I don't think I've ever waited for the light to go on. I guess I just don't trust it to last the drive home. I usually fill up when I ave 1/8 of a tank left.

I get 35 MPG

Well, it's what you get when you have a CIVIC! 35 city / 40 hwy

I live in Jax too, but can't find a job / car to buy! (I want a 2nd gen Rx7), but where can I buy a new engine for one?
