Arrow Gas Leak more

Ok so I cleaned around the access panel and filled my gas tank up to see if maybe that was the problem. Unfortunately it wasnt. But now that I look at the panel since its nice and clean u can see that the gas is seeping out from all around the access panel. Could it be that the little rubber gasket is toast?

Is this a continuation of a post somewhere? I thought I remember seeing a post about this. If it is leaking and you found where, then try the gasket and see if that fixes it

Ya It's a continuation. I just finished calling both Mazda dealers and they both have to order them in. So I'll have to wait until the part comes in to find out I guess.

Thanx for the help Cosmo.

Sounds good. I kind of lost my train (?) of thought when I was posting. I meant to tell you that you might want to continue your other post

I can't find it and am too lazy (pissed off) to do a search right now. I just talked to the nearest Mazda dealers and they said the part isnt in Canada and it will take at least three weeks to get the part in. If anyone can hook me up sooner, cause I need to use the car please let me now.

Thanks

Dude, that sucks ***.

Try calling some other Mazda dealers, maybe some big ones in CA or somewhere, and see if they can get it to you sooner. You could try Mazda Competition to see if they know of a better source because they can sell the parts but only to members. They are awesome over there. You should be able to find them on the internet.

Just askin... Couldn't ya use the old gasket as a template and make a new one. It would be quicker, and cheaper.

What could I make the new one out of?
I've never made a gasket before.

It is a weird gasket thought it is made out of rubber and has two little nipple things that hold it onto the metal piece. I'm sure you guys now what part I'm talking about.
