hopefully its not your fuel pressure regulator... those go out alot on rx7's. it could be leaking from the hoses to the fuel rails too. have you done anything to the motor recently? how long have you noticed it leaking fuel? if you cannot visibly see where it is leaking from when the motor is running and you see fuel on top of the block (under the intake) then chances are it is your fuel pressure regulator

intake mani or exhaust mani? it's probably your pulsation dampener if you haven't done anything to the fuel lines in a long time. wouldn't drive it till you get that fixed.

WTF? Dude... I don't think I've heard of a fuel pressure regulator leaking.

The primary cause of fuel leaks on top of the engine is the pulsation damper. It's a mushroom shaped thing on the end of the primary fuel rail, and when it gets old, it leaks. When it leaks, it sprays high pressure gas all over the place, and has lit more than a few RX-7s on fire.

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL YOU FIX IT. Period. A fuel leak that drips on to the exhaust manifold is not something to mess with.

Now: To safely (more or less) find out what exactly is leaking, you can pressurize the system with the engine off. The passenger's side of the engine bay, near the boost sensor, has a yellow plug. Jumper this, turn the ignition on (but don't start the car), and the fuel pump will run. This will allow you to explore a fully pressurized fuel system without any major ignition sources. Keep a fire extinguisher handy just in case - the electrical system is active.

To replace the pulsation damper, you'll have to pull the intake manifold off. You can either replace the PD with a new one, or a banjo bolt. People will argue until the end of time about this, but you need to do something, or your car will burn up.

Keep in mind that if it is the PD leaking and your car is an S5, the PD is integrated into the primary fuel rail requiring replacement of the rail.

His screen name is "white88turboII" - I figured it was safe to assume, on his first post, that he was talking about an S4.
