Gas charged trunk lift supports for convert

I'm looking for replacement pneumatic trunk lid lift supports for my '90 convert. The best price I could find was $144. The original lifts look much like the ones I have seen at auto parts stores, except for one of the ends being different. Has anyone found an affordable trunk lift for the convert? Anyone successfully modify a universal type lift to work on the convert?

I searched the threads exhaustively but could not find this answer.

EDIT: This was for my coupe, not sure about the vert's trunk, but I'm pretty sure he can rebuild those too...

I never found any new ones for a decent price so I had them rebuilt by Strutwise, (http://www.strutwise.com/services.php) turned out great, work like magic, actually when you first get them you gotta be a little careful cuz it pop's up so fast...

The RX-7 isnt' listed on the website but if you call or send him an e-mail, it should be fine.
