Exclamation GAH!!! Damn rear end noises Help please!

Ok this is getting to me. Ive got one noise that has been supposedly been diagnosed as a bad wheel bearing. The noise gets louder the faster I go and goes away during a hard right turn.

Second is a very faint clunk while at low speeds, most times I hear it when pulling into a parking spot.

Lastly, this is the new one, sounds almost like a heat shield rattle but I swear its coming from the rear. Very sporadic and just started today.

Is it possible for a rear diff mount begin to fail as opposd to completely broken? Im putting the car up on jacks tomorrow to take a look. Anything I should look at while Im under there?

well im sure the clunk is the diff mounts, mine does the same thing. anyone know who sells eurethane diff mounts?
i think there is a heat sheild between the gas tank and exhaust so check that for the rattling noise. there will probly be holes in it where the bolts for it go.
while you have it jacked up try to wiggle the rear wheels to see if there bearings are ok, i think they will wiggle if they are bad.

Oh and what type of wiggle? side to side relative to the car or front to back?

i also have the rear end rattle and was told that itself maybe a wheel bearing but it sounds like the driver side brake caliper is making noise or something lol. i have no idea but shouldnt worry about it til you have the money to fix it if its wheel bearing its not that bad

Have you noticed any loss in power to the rear wheels. If you find it harder to peel out or in my case drift around a corner, then your whole rear diff might be going out.

not quite sure about the clink. Definitely could be the mount. Have you been in any wrecks lately or driving the car harder than you have before recently?

I get a clunk every time I apply the gas, let off the gas, or shift gears when the car is not in neutral. I'm pretty sure it's diff mounts, where can I get polyurethane mounts?

aftermarket LSD's clunk at low speeds, i dont know if you have one or anything but there was just a thread about it and its normal if you have a really tight LSD. (tight is an tightened, not 'mad tyte')

i think molotovman's problem is tranny mounts, not rear diff.

Oh no haha, I still have yet to figure out the small clunk, but the other was the wheel bearing and some weird recessed nut in the heat shield vibrating within it.
